Recently a video has been posted on the internet (see below) where female students from one of the Turkmen schools pretend to be shooting a music video for fun. It appears that the information about the video has reached the officials, custodians of public morals, who provided immediate response.
Representatives of the Prosecutor’s office of Lebap velayat (formerly, Charjou province) has been paying visits to the velayat’s schools for a week to check the content of photo and video files in schoolchildren’s mobile telephones.
Cases were recorded when representatives of the prosecutor’s office found erotic photos in mobile telephones of some students. In this case the deputy school principal responsible for educational work was reprimanded and the students’ parents were given notice.
Similar inspections are being carried out in other country’s provinces. We have received reports that in the village of Gerogly (formerly, Takhta) in Dashoguz velayat officials from the Prosecutor’s office visited schools №1, №6 и №18. Mobile telephones were confiscated from several students.
